Hooray for new blogs, friends and followers. I'm holding a contest to get the word out about this new site. My book FADING has creepy paranormal wraiths in it, so I thought I'd celebrate the new blog by giving away this creepy-cool pendant (clicky to supersize) made by an Etsy artist (includes ball chain).
Here's the deal: leave a comment sharing something that creeps you out and I will draw a random winner in two weeks time. Extra entries for linking to this blog on your site. Make sure I can contact you (no anonymous posts). And while you're here, sign up to follow or subscribe by email if you like what you see.
Thanks all!

Hi Stephanie! Stopped over from QT. What creeps me out? Feeling a cute tickle on your arm and finding out it's a spider. I'm an arachnophobe.
What a fun contest! What creeps me out is writing about something horrific on my WIP...only to have it happen to me (or my kids) in real life months later.
I blogged about your contest:

Have a great weekend!
Plastic cups. Congrats on the agentage!
Congrats on the agent! I heard about your contest because Suzette blogged about it. The pendant is way creepy.
What creeps me out? Old ghosts living in old houses. I refuse to live in a house where someone else has lived before. I like to make my own ghosts.
I once had a bat in my house and was creeped out for weeks! Congrats to you! tWarner419@aol.com
Hmmm what creeps me out? Those kids tv presenters who are happy all the freaking time. Something stinks cause nobody is THAT happy. lol.
Oh yeah and popping balloons. Even thinking about it sends a shiver down my spine. Yuck.
Congrats on finding an agent!
That pendant is awesome in a creepy cool way. :) I'm totally creeped out by knives. I think I was stabbed to death in a past life.
I found my way over here from Suzette's blog.

Congrats!
What creeps me out? Clowns. I know it’s a total cliché but I refuse to believe that anybody is that happy all the time. And why wear all that makeup if they’re not hiding something lol?
Aw Stephanie, congrats!! All agented-up. Nice. Didn't have to think twice about this one: SPIDERS!! Ooewy!!!!!!!!!!! Great. Now I'm sweating. Gaw!
What creeps me out? Things with more than four legs. And yet, I'm the designated spider/insect killer in my house. Hubby is way worse than I am.
Congrats on being agented. That's awesome!
Congratulations on acquiring representation! That's awesome. That necklace is beautiful- reminds me of this chalcondy brooch my character wears in her book. Anyway- as for something creepy- I'm terrified of ghosts and I was blessed with an overactive imagination that left me unable to drive after watching the Sixth Sense because everytime I looked in my rearview mirror, I was sure the ghost of a raspy wrinkly old woman would be staring at me from the back seat or some grotesque figure would appear right before my car on a dark winding road.
Congratulations on getting an agent! I'm not very original, but spiders totally creep me out. Luckily, my son takes care of any spiders found in the house!
I've added a link to your contest on my blog. :)
congrats!
As for creepiness, ghosts. ghosts creep me the heck out.
Like what if i were to wake up in the middle of the night and there's a creepy ghost face right in front of mine, staring at me?
No thanks...
Ooh, Falen, my book would SO scare you!
These are great - interesting and funny. Keep them coming!
Congratulations on finding an agent Stephanie!
Not much creeps me out except for creepy crawlies like spiders and millipedes. If you mean what actually SCARES me ... people do. There are some very crazy people out there.

My made up definition: Like doing a wheelie on a bicycle or motorcycle but performed when wearing those annoying sneakers that kids wear with wheels embedded in the sole.
Hm... what scares me? Shouting. I've no problem with ghosts, spiders, or bees crawling on my nose, but I can't stand it when people are yelling at each other.
Oh, and my hair scares me. Yeah...
Great contest and please check out mine, too! (though your blog looks nice already. ;D)
Congratulations on getting an agent! (Here from Suzette & Bethany's place.) =D
Congrats on the agent!! Snakes creep me out.. Don't like them at all, even if they happen to be of the harmless variety!!
I'm a new follower

Congrats!!!
When I drive under a steetlight and it goes out - happens all the time and totally creepy!
Congratulations!
Mmm, creepy? Graveyards at night.
Congrats on the agent and the cool new blog. :-) Stephen King books creep me out. I don't read him very often and after starting Under the Dome, and having bizarre dreams that night of invisible walls coming down on people, I'm not sure I can read anymore of it. It took me two years to read Pet Semetary because I'd get creeped out, put it down, find it months later and try again.
Congrats on the agent!! As for creepy things - ghosts and spiders. I can't even watch the Ghostbuster movies unless it's broad daylight :D
Congratulations! As for what creeps me out...pedophiles and horror movies.
I will post a link to your contest in my sidebar.
The sound of children singing - like a group, in really high-pitched voices and slightly off-key. Usually a capella.
Congratulations on getting an agent and starting a blog. I'm pretty addicted to both posting, reading and commenting....It's a lot of fun.
Some thing that creeps me out is when I smell something that reminds me of a scary time when I was a kid...
That is a creepy pendant! Believe or not, skeletons creep me out. I'll add slugs, and I'm sure I'm not alone on that one!
Congratulations on your representation. Good luck!
First of all, a big CONGRATS to you! How exciting! Snakes creep me out. I absolutely abhor them.
Oops, here's my email:
lydiakang (at) yahoo (dot) com.
I would have to say, snakes! We had a huge, long black, looked like the poisonous type in our yard this weekend. Our beagle, Buster, was just as
worked up as I was. I get chills up my spine and the creepy crawlies....eeeeewwwww!
I like your new blog; Congrats and keep us posted!
Hi, Stephanie!
First, I wanted to say that I really like your blog and welcome to the "bloggerhood" (I hope that's the correct terminology!) :o)
Next, I'm so happy for you that you have representation! How awesome for you. What an AMAZING feeling that must be. Your book, "FADING", sounds fabulous!
I added myself as a "follower" here, Twitter and Facebook, plus here is the link for the post to my blog for the article about your "Creepy Cool" contest:

Now about the things that creep me out:
When my husband and I happen to talk about someone we haven't seen or heard from in years, then within a day or two, we'll either see them, hear that something terrible has happened to them or we'll find out that they have just died. It happens ALL the time. In fact, I have started writing it down because it's so creepy. I don't like it AT ALL. And there's no way I would have heard their names anywhere, because I usually stay at home alone, everyday.
Then there's the "thing" I have about spiders. I can practically feel them looking at me and always know when there is one in a room when/before I walk into it. That really creeps me and anybody around me right out. That's been happening to me ever since I was a little girl.
I guess that's enough creepy stuff, huh?
Have a nice evening!
Sincerely,
Cynde (Cynde's Got The Write Stuff)

Road kill. It creeps me out to see it on the road. Every time I drive my car over one I get creepy chills at the back of my neck and shoulders. I absolutely hate it. Fortunately, I've never driven my tires over one. Just the thought gives me goose bumps.
P.S. I posted a link to this site from my blog.
Another thing that creeps me out is finding someone else's hair in a borrowed book, or the kitchen sink at work, weird unexpected places like that. Yuck!
Thanks go to Suzette for pointing me here, and congratulations on getting signed with an agent!
I like to write horror so not much creeps me out. I love creepy, crawlies. What really gets me creeped out are Ouija boards. Yes, I had a bad personal experience with one (I, too, used to scoff at these words). Someday I'll share with the world, but even 14 years later, it's too soon...
I wish you great success with the editors :)
